Back on the Wagon....

...hit a panic with my weight. Crept back up almost 10 lbs., and realized that I bought a dress that fit like a glove for my brother's wedding. Need to remain the size I was in February. So....back to Spark People I go....and back to the gym. Was happy to realize that I only had to pay a 20 dollar administrative fee and not the typical joining fees to start.

...5:30 is such a hellish hour to wake up!

...Have decided that becoming a black belt in karate is now a life goal of mine. Just to say that I saw something to the end. I have a tendency to stop and start things. It's not something I'm incredibly proud of, but it's something I want to change. Of course, this goal of mine is to the tune of $40 a month, so methinks I need to work hard if I'm going to do it. Aaron told me that I need to compete if I'm going to go that far. Not so sure that I'll do that, but we'll see.

...Thanks to Collin I have begun reading Eragon. A few weeks ago we rented the movie, and I find it an awesome story. Despite knowing the entire plot of the story, I think I will enjoy reading it. I tend to get really upset if I see a movie right after reading the book. Many times they destroy the book with a movie.

Sad

That's all I can say about what happened at VT. My heart breaks for those that lost their loved ones. In cases like this, as in all cases of tragedy, I feel helpless. My thoughts and condolences don't seem enough.

New Design Team Layouts Up!

Go here to see! One of the scans is wonky, as a piece of the layout fell off. You'll see when you go there what I mean. hehe

Nothing much else ado in Byersland. Getting ready to celebrate the birthdays of two family members. That will be fun. One's turning one and the other's older. *wink* Can't wait until next weekend!

This weekend, if you're around the Turkey Run State Park, you shall see me with four boys and another den leader. Probably yelling at them! Fourth grade is not my favorite age in dealing with kids. Pray to whatever god you celebrate that I'll have the patience to make it through.

Keep my friend Judy in your thoughts. She is traveling to Kenya on an educational missions trip this weekend. Am hoping for an awesome experience for her!

Have a good Tuesday!

Cutie Tooties.....

....the monkey in the middle is M. She's been a friend of the twins since their birth. She was my inspiration of hope when the twins were born three weeks LATER in gestation than her. She was a mere 1 lb. 2 oz. And she's a fantastic five (almost six!) year-old girlie. The twins love her, and if auntie and mommy are right, she loves them right back. Very heart warming. Albeit loud, as you can see from the picture! *grin*

Because It's Friday the 13th....

...I thought I'd frighten you all by posting twice. Look at my little lovies! :)

Does my Butt Really Look Like That?

Followed this home from work yesterday. Just made me wonder if that's a black version of what people see when they follow me. hehe Yes, the weather is atypical for April. Am so sick of snow flurries!
Aaron's going to see the latest shoot-em-up-kill-em-up flick tonight with his friends. I told the twins this morning about it, and said that we'd probably go out to eat this evening. Griffin said "How 'bout Donald's or something?" Erin said, "How 'bout B-Dubs?" Crack me up.

Elliptical Trainer??

...I'm torn. It's been a bit difficult to get to the gym these days. And going to karate once or twice a week doesn't give me any cardio exercise and leaves me with little more than a headache from being tossed on the mat. (We're learning to fall, throw, and be thrown in karate right now, and I'm not sure that I'm liking it!) Going to the gym would be cheaper, but I need to figure out WHEN I'd go. But, methinks that I would like to get an elliptical at home. Does anyone out there who still reads this thing have one? Does anyone have any reccommendations? I'm thinking of dropping a chunk of change, but don't know which to get.... *sigh*

...needless to say, I'm feeling a bit more comfortable financially. *winks* I'm not rich, by any stretch of the word, but I'm soon to be credit card debt free!

The Judy-Bunny!!!

paid me a visit. Of course, her messenger didn't do such a good job, and I got my Easter basket yesterday. I do have to say that Aaron does many other things well...just not relaying things back and forth from Judy!

...Anyway, there is all kinds of good stuff in that basket! There was some Estee Lauder make-up, some Mary Kay goodies, some body polish, some warming mask and a wholelotta chocolate!

....I feel so very loved. Perhaps I need to send something to MTV/VH1 (whoever has this show) about the Best Week Ever. Between my visit from the Judy-Bunny, my visit from Nana, and the fact that I'm getting a tax refund from both US and State, I feel very happy.

The Best Damn Cupcake Ever.....

...OK, Nana, I promise to give some to the kids. But I couldn't resist having one to myself last night! Yummy, as always!
...And for anyone interested in the best home-made birthday/occasion cakes EVER (and I should know...am great cake afficionado ), please let me know, and I will forward Nana's info to you!

Kiss Those Babies Goodbye....

....since I've limited access to the internet, all the pics you've been seeing lately are courtesy of my phone cam. Not the best quality, but you get the idea..... as soon as we can get Griffin to drop the pull-ups, we'll not have any evidence of babies in our house....sniff, sniff....

"I don't love you that much...."

So Griffin's been peeing the bed at night. Frustrating, I tell you, especially when things like his large Batman pillow have to be washed. Apparently, Batman's not so invincible in the machine, because his muscle exploded. Well, Aaron voluntold me to sew it up. I ask Griffin, "So, who's your favorite mom?" "You are," he replies. "How much do you love me?" I ask. "Lots and lots," he replies. "Lots and lots and lots?" I ask. "No, just lots and lots. I don't love you that much!"

Not much new happening in Byersland. Same thing, different day. Feeling pretty caught up with work....feels good for the most part...until the boredom kicks in. To ease the boredom and my nagging voice, I was given the job of decorating our board room with survey copies of our properties. This has proven to be a fun task, but today my boss said I was killing him with how much money I was spending on it. And to think I saved them money by figuring out proportions of our new properties to save on having to reframe them all. I only needed to buy ONE new frame. Which, coincidentally, was more expensive by itself than it was to use old frames for five others. So, in all, I saved them a boatload of money. Not cheap, this little project of mine! It's been fun. Now I just need to figure out how to get these little plaques onto the frames without tearing them up..... we shall see.
