Oy....
....it's been a hectic past few weeks/months.....
....the kids switched babysitters. A former colleague of Aaron's is watching them until the end of the school year. Never easy to feel you have to switch.... They were receiving excellent care from our daycare provider, but some things were out of our control, so we made the switch.....Not easy, as the kidlets miss their old friends, but they're making a few new friends in a situation that seems less volatile. *sigh* I wish that I could just stay home and not wind up in debt beyond my wildest dreams....
....on the work-front, I've been extremely busy. A property manager of ours just had a baby at the beginning of the month, so they've asked me to help out until she gets back. Mind you, I'm to the point where I have a decent workload at my "normal" job, so this is stressing me out a little bit.....but I'm managing ok now. I just have to realize that not everything's going to be done as well as I had been doing....we shall see.
....Personally, I'm up to blue belt (not sure if I've mentioned that yet or not...) in karate. It's an awesome feeling to know that I'm the downhill slide to black belt. Of course, the next few belts take a while to finish up, so I still won't have my black belt for a year, but it's been fun. On Wednesday nights, we have an adult class. There are several adults that are near my rank who are absolutely wonderful to work with, so it's fun that we're all going to be promoted together and probably have our black belts at the same time. We laugh, help eachother, and just have fun. Love that.
....I'm off this weekend, and we've decided to go camping! Am excited, as we're trying out a new place. The plans were put together in large part by one of my work buddies. He works at a property in the northern part of the state, and we chat at work. Mostly about payroll and credit card reconciliations, but we move on to other things, too....like how his wife is as big of if not a bigger scrapping junkie as I am. Can't wait to meet her! So tomorrow night you'll find me in my pop-up in northern Indiana with a Woodchuck in hand! Need the mini-vacation after all the craziness of the last few weeks!
