No Spoilers....

....so for those of you who are reading my blog and seeing my incessant plugs for different books, rest assured that you will not get any spoilers here. I HATE HATE HATE it when people do that. I will tell you my opinion on the book, but it will be a lower level kind of opinion. I shall not go into depth on any of the plot, etc.

....That being said, for those of you who do wind up reading what I drone on about, feel free to put non-plot-spoiling opinions or email me to engage in discussion about said books.

....Now that I've finished the Twilight series, I would have to say that it was some of the most wholesome reading I've done in a long time. If people keep in mind the fact that they are YOUNG ADULT books, I think they'll find them a good read. There isn't a thing in any of the books that I wouldn't want my kids to read.

Just cause you know I love ya... ;)

My issue, keeping in mind they are YOUNG ADULT: Bella's lack of self esteem. No self preservation. Whining, self centered, totally oblivious to hurting anyone else with her single mindedness.

I don't want any of my daughters thinking that is how "love" is suppose to be.

If Bella was a real person, I'd totally smack her upside the head and tell her to get a life. And join a club or something.

Although the final straw for me was "glittery" vampires. I don't mind variations on vampire mythology but this one... Seriously? LMAO

I have not read the book, but I do feel a bit of bling can go a long way toward making a person feel nice about themselves. A glittery vampire? I don't know? Did they add sparkle or glitter to themselves? Or just buy some nice red Dorothy shoes?

I'm just sayin', this girl likes a little bling.

If you sparkle too much won't people see you coming? the moonlight would possibly reflect off your vampire bling/glitter.

But isn't it part of vampire lore that you have to invite them in, to your home, or your life? And Seriously, you don't invite in poorly dressed people. Maybe a little glitter goes a long way in opening doors.

I like bling too. Especially if the bling is NOT on your teeth. I don't like seeing bling on people's teeth. Grosses me out.

The Twilight vampires "glitter" in the sun. That's why they don't go out during the day (or when it's not cloudy), their skin is too brilliant (like diamonds) in the sunlight.

Blech, I like my vampires to burst into flames in sunlight. *evil laughs*

Oh oh, and I forgot to mention Edward's stalkerish attitude. Gives me the heebie jeebies.
