Holy Heat, Batman....

...It's incredibly hot outside right now. I think that I would rather it be very very cold rather than very very hot. At least, in most cases, you can warm up if you're cold. In all cases, however, there are only so many layers of clothing you can remove and still be deemed appropriate. This, folks, is where I'm at today.

It is HOT in my house and the AC is on. If the AC gives out, I am moving!

Scott and a friend had a bicycle accident this morning. Scott has a broken collarbone and two broken ribs. He is on extra strength Vicodin. I didn't even know it came in Extra Strength! He is in real pain. His buddy, who hit him, got a concussion and really tore holes in his cycling clothes. And those clothes aren't cheap.

The good news is that after two weeks without a working washer, the fix it man came today and I can do laundry again. Or is that bad news? I didn't mind so much taking it to the neighbors and asking them to do it.

Going to Stamp Camp Thursday? I will be there!

And yes, both men need new bike helmets as theirs are both cracked.

My bedroom sits above the garage so it is hotter than hell in there. Just think of those people who don't have ac, for one reason or another. My heart goes out to them....

In other news, I need to be on extra strength Vicodin.

Oh Double F***! Let's see how many kids are in my house right now....Caroline, age 5, Claire, age 6, Noah and Seth, Nicholas age 9, and Evann age 12. Evann usually brings her sister, lauren, age 4, so maybe she'll be here soon. Andie, age 6 was just here but went home. Poor Scott. He went to the guest room and laid down and closed the door. It is further from the stairs, so maybe a bit quieter. I like to have other kids here, as my kids have someone to play with, but I am not the neighborhood babysitter. I am soon going to weed a few kids out.I'd throw them outside or take them to the pool, but it's still Damned Hot.

What is Colin doing tomorrow morning? If he comes over, it will be a quiet morning. It doesn't usually get crowded here till about lunchtime. I have fed several extra people lunch today, some even got seconds. 15 more days till the start of school.

Poor Judy's husband! I hope he recovers quickly. (And that Judy gets her own blog!)

It is so hot, I'm thinking about trying the "fry an egg on the sidewalk" thing except that I really don't want to step outside the house to see if it would cook...
