We Paid For the Pretty Day Yesterday....

....cos it's raining cats and dogs now! *sobs* I guess it's just proving that it's still winter outside. It was so nice to get the kids outside, though!

....I gave out my daycare contract to one person yesterday, and will give it to the rest tomorrow. *bites nails* I really don't think I'm being unreasonable with it. People should still pay me, even when they don't bring their kids, ya know? It's like your employer telling you last minute that they're closing up shop and not paying you. It's like being laid off for the day from PART of your work. lol Very strange, though I think people see it my way. I'm still cheaper than most other daycares around here, and I'm also not requiring them to pay when I take days off or go on vacation. That, and I want to close by six everyday. What harm is there in that? LOL

....Other than that, not much ado here. Just the same old, same old. Which isn't so bad. Tiring, but not bad.

I'm glad that you are finally getting around to doing this...it is long overdue. And yes you should be paid for vacations. When Caitlyn was in a daycare, I had to pay whether or not she was there. It's a "placeholder" so to speak. Because you are still cheaper than other places, they will still come to you.

Good job for making that contract - I think it's high time they started paying you with a little more respect, and well, having a contract is always a safe bet. But stick to it and don't give leeway b/c then, well, at least in all the cases I've read on contracts, if you act one way but say something else in the contract, courts will hold you to your actions. But I'm so proud of you for making one!!! A cookie for Stephanie :) Or maybe a rum ball...
